Concept

The OpenMaya Toolbox is a collection of useful tools complementing those already in Maya.
OMToolbox thrives on the open and dynamic nature of Alias Maya - utilizing the easily scriptable mel-interface as well as the plug-in interface freely available via the SDK.

The collection of tools consists of scripts and plugins for all of Maya - and aims to provide both new features, improvements and all-around enhancements for easier day to day use of Maya.

Besides being a great collection of valuable tools, OMToolbox aims to create a forum in which tools can be developed openly and collaboratively. It is our goal to form an active base on which future development of tools can build.

I have decided to keep on playing with OMT, hence it'll live on.. for a while at least. But! It is now more of a personal project than the initial idea of a collaboration thingo, which results in less documentation and userfriendlyness (sorry folks, but this is really tedious tasks and I'd rather spend my time developing). I'll still answer questions though, and think about feature requests but I can't promise anything.
For now I have posted a little new release with some updates, bugfixes and stuff I'm testing (All the really nice tools I have made are all copyrighted, so they can't be shared.. yet) Furthermore, this will from now on be the home of the toolbox. Return once in a while and you might find usable things.

Uhh it has been a long time. Wondering if people are still using OMT?
Well, the thing is that after having tried to establish a community based toolbox and failed, I kind of didn't feel like spending that much time on this any longer so the project slowly faded away. Anyhow, as I am using the toolbox myself quite frequently still and keep on finding new bugs/adding feature, small things are still happening but not enough to make a new release, yet, which would require me to put a bit more into it and maybe fix some big things too, but with all the other tools coming up and Maya implimenting their own (at last) I guess it's not worth the effort and this project may as well be dead for the public...
If I'm wrong on this matter and people are still using the toolbox and are in desperate need of updates, please mail me (contacks can be found on my homepage - www.jakob.welner.dk) and I may take it up to consideration once again. That'll be all for now.

New Wiki started.. wonder if it is a good idea but it is definitely worth a try, so here is a tryout.
Use it the best you can and please tell me if it in any way helps or if it is just distracting.

I have added whatever felt obvious as content for this wiki but feel free to add anything I have missed:
